Surgical Lasers

Our lasers are the most advanced and universal tools of this type.
Thanks to the diverse range of accessories, lasers are used in many fields of medicine.

Minimally invasive laser surgical procedures

Laser technologies are a key tool in precise surgical procedures, offering clinicians full control over the depth of penetration and selectivity of action on tissues. Surgical lasers offered by Metrum Cryoflex include diode lasers, CO₂ lasers and Nd:YAG platforms. The range of their applications is extremely wide – from surgical procedures of removal of inefficient venous trunks or treatment of hemorrhoids to effective removal of skin lesions, discoloration and precise cutting of soft tissues. The low invasiveness of these procedures ensures high patient safety, low risk of complications and fast recovery time.

How does a laser work?

A laser is a device that produces very strong and focused light. The name "laser" comes from English words meaning the amplification of light by the stimulated emission of radiation. Its operating principle is that inside the laser there are special atoms or molecules that absorb energy and then give it back in the form of light. This light is amplified until it forms a very thin and intense beam.
Laser light has several unique features:
It is coherent – all light waves move in one direction and in the same phase, so that the energy does not dissipate.
It is monochromatic – this means that it has only one wavelength (i.e. one color), which allows for precise operation.
It is focused – the laser creates a very thin beam that can be precisely directed to small areas.
Thanks to these properties, lasers are becoming mandatory devices in modern hospitals and clinics. They allow for effective performance of many procedures in a minimally invasive and safe way.
